Christmas Card Club

Four Seasons is a great Stampin' Up! hostess gift
The definition of challenge has several conertations but for the purpose of this post it is to invite someone to do something or to make demands upon one's crafting skills.  The lovely Debi, down under, set us all a really great challenge this fortnight which certainly put me out of my comfort zone and has challenged me which has been great.  I'm pleased with my card because I think it's pretty, but the trifold in traditional colours has been stretched in it's definition by me!!  I have used 3 folds, but have made it very simply as I know many of us look for interesting, but simple design in our card structure.  I have made a promise to myself though that I will set about making a card with more design technology than this.
I'm conscious that this should have been on my blog yesterday, but as you may remember sometimes doing all your homework at the beginning of half term isn't as tempting as the fun you can have with family and friends during a week off school and so when your volcano is due in on Wednesday, the last weekend of half term seems the optimum time to ask your mum for a bit of help to make a cake volcano therefore throwing Mum's crafting time out of the window!!!!!!!!!  I have to say though the volcano that Olivia has made is looking great and once labelled by her tonight will be just what the teacher ordered.  Meanwhile I have food colouring hands instead of my usual inky hands and my crafting as ever is on catch up!

You can see my simple trifold design.

I used a plethora of tools and bits and bobs to make this including the big shot, floral frames framelits, delicate designs embossing folders, hostess stamp set four seasons, daydream medallions stamp set, heat embossing and punches to name but a few and of course a little bit of cherry cobbler dazzling details for the Christmas bling.  If you like the four seasons stamp set you can see another example of the winter stamp from this set in my stamping scene post.

At least I got the traditional colour combo spot on!
Back soon. Zx

This is wonderful! I love the way you made the aperture...I have still to try to make an aperture card! You did a wonderful job of it and I just love the trio of tags hanging from the ribbon tied around the frame...Brilliant idea. I also just love the embossed bottom strip!

One of the great things about this months challenge was how we all created our cards...I have learned so many new things this month...It has been great!
