Christmas Card Club - Anything Goes

Our Christmas Card Club challenge is a simple Anything Goes theme today and so I have gone for simple in every sense with some basic stamping, a little bit of ruler using and some simple but elegant sequins for as you know I can't resist a bit of bling.

The stamp set is Forever Evergreen from the Stampin' Up! UK winter catalogue and you could be forgiven for having missed it as it coordinates with the Forever Evergreen Christmas Tree kit and has no cards featured in the catalogue using it that are obvious.  I love it and am so glad I bought it as the sentiments are modern and fun and the images are perfect for building your own Christmas scenes.  You can see another post  with this Stampin' Up! Forever Evergreen.

There are stamps for the 'strings' on your ornaments, but I wanted longer so I used a ruler and marker pen to add mine.  The colours are Stampin' Up! real red and garden green.

Thanks to  Sylvie for an easy but fun theme.  Don't forget to check out my colleagues in the Card Club Challenge blogs for more inspiration.

Happy day Zx

Stampin' Up! Forever Evergreen

I talked about this Stampin' Up!  Forever Evergreen stamp set in my Christmas Card Club post as I used one of the other sentiments from the set and also explained it coordinated with a super Christmas Tree making kit.

However today I've used it to add garlands of fir with some lovely ornaments hanging from them.  I used my blender pens to colour them in with ink from the lid of my ink pads.  It works best on watercolour paper, but if you are quick you can create a little shading on our whisper white card stock.  I used some Candy Cane Lane paper to add a border and machine sewed it all together.  The bows on the ornaments are done using the 'fork' bow technique using a plastic fork tee her!  The bakers twine is whisper white with a real red sparkle twist in it which is super for parcel wrapping and neat embellishments on cards.  It comes with a roll of this and straight real red twine too!

This stamp set is easily overlooked in the catalogue as it's under the Forever Evergreen tree kit and can't really be seen in the picture and there are no other card pictures to show you what you can do, but I think it is fab so do take a look on page 35 of the Stampin' Up! UK winter catalogue.

I'll share some more cards with this set soon.
