Stampin Up UK Spring Catalogue Sneak Peek for Totally Techniques Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Spring Catalogue Sealed with Love watercolour technique

Stampin Up UK will launch it's new Spring catalogue on 4 January and so I've used a sneak peek stamp set Sealed with Love for my card in this month's Totally Techniques Blog Hop.  The technique to use a watercolour wash and I've played about with several shades of Stampin' Up! blues as well as the bold melon mambo.  It seems a little odd to be sharing a Valentine card, but truth is it will be Valentine's day before you know it and this stamp set with its coordinating frame lits is perfect for your expressions of love for someone special.  There's more stampin up sneak peeks here.

To create the wash I first stamped the sentiment in versa mark ink and then heat embossed it with whisper white embossing powder.  Be sure to get your heat gun hot before actually using it to melt the powder and then heat it from below and above to reduce to amount of bowing of your watercolour card.  I then used painters masking tape along all sides of the card to attached it to a piece of thick card board out of the back of a specialty DSP pack.  This again helps to reduce warping once you get the card stock wet.  I used various widths of paint brush to first add plenty of water to a section where i wanted to add ink from a palette where i had added drops of Stampin' Up! re-inkers.  Use kitchen paper to remove excess ink and water and let the card stock dry between each addition of water and ink.  You can speed the process by carefully using a heat gun, but as mentioned above make sure it is hot before it goes near the card stock for maximum effect in the least amount of time.  You can then use different shades of ink to colour wash.

Check out all the other lovely examples of water colour wash by visiting my lovely Stampin' Up! friends around the globe.

Stampin Up Incentive trip - Thailand Acheiver's Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Spring 2017 Spring Catalogue Sneak Peek blog hop

Welcome to the December Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip Acheivers blog hop.  You are here with me Zoe Tant, a Stampin' Up! UK demonstrator and I invite you to tour everyone's blogs for some awesome inspiration and to get a taste of all the loveliness to come in the new year from Stampin' Up!.  Our theme this time is sneak peeks from the upcoming Stampin' Up! spring/summer catalogue which goes live on 4 January.   As ever it's a catalogue jammed pack with some fabulous new products that I know you will love.  I predict that the products I've used here will be some of the most popular.  The stamp set is called Dragonfly Dreams and there are coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies too.  Add to those Falling in Love Designer Series Paper and a touch of vellum, very vanilla satin ribbon and some very lovely embellishments and you will be unstoppable in your rush to create.

I made this card and gift bag for a friend who recently celebrated her 50th.  The bag was just perfect for a special gift and I'm pleased she liked the card. The paper just lent itself to being a super background for these stunning dragonflies.

I'm still loving the copper foil paper and the copper embossing powder which fit in with the tones in these papers.  If you haven't let me know about receiving your copy of the new catalogue and a Sale-a-bration brochure please do email me for your complimentary copy.  Sale-a-bration if you haven't met it before means free gifts for everyone with qualifying spends or bonus goodies if you join Stampin' Up!.

Don't forget now to hop around the other demos blogs around the world to see more wonderful sneak peeks.  You can follow the list below.
