Christmas Card Club - Anything Goes

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration free gifts for all

2017 is in full swing already with children back at school and Stampin' Up! has launched it's new Spring catalogue and annual 3 month Sale-a-bration promotion and so for our first Christmas Card Club challenge set by Margaret I couldn't resist sharing this card which I posted on Facebook recently.  Margaret set us an easy task to make a card with an anything goes theme.  Bless her she's easing us back in gently.  My card features this fabulous funky chicken from the FREE stamp set Hey, Chick.  Isn't it fun.....

I stamped him/her on shimmery white card stock in black Staz On and then used a blender pen to pick up ink to colour the image with ink from my stampin up ink pad lids.  The antlers are from Foxy Friends and fairy lights from Tin of Tags.  I used a stampin marker to add the wire.  I cut the image out using my set of stitched frame lit dies that come with ovals, squares and circles and added a matting layer with the layering ovals dies.  The 'hey, chick' is heat embossed with white powder on basic black card and the Happy Christmas is from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

A fun card and thanks to Margaret for the simple start to our Christmas Card Club challenges so that I could share it with you.

Happy New Year to all.

Hugs Zx

Moving Along with the Times Challenge with Stampin Up Dragonfly Dreams

Stampin Up Dragonfly Dreams Spring Catalogue

Stampin Up Uk launched it's new spring catalogue yesterday.  Dragonfly Dreams is one of the new stamp set and I'm already in love with the stamps and detailed dragonfly thinlits dies and I think you will love them too!  For my challenge this fortnight over at Moving Along with the Times I've stamped one of the dragonflies and heat embossed it with copper embossing powder then used the die to cut it out to add to a back drop of Botanical Blooms leaves and flowers.  The white flower sprays are also heat embossed with white embossing powder.

If you think you need a little more convincing about this set take a look at my earlier Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams post.

There is a prize on offer with our MAWTT challenge this fortnight and you have to be in to win, so please do have a go at my challenge by creating a card with the theme of 'something you see in the air'.

More inspiration can be found from the other DT members here.

Thanks for stopping by and remember if you'd like a copy of the Spring catalogue please do message me at zoetant@live.co.uk

More soon Zx
