Stampin' Up! Pop of Paradise - Pineapples for Christmas?
Well I'm not sure why I do it, but towards the end of the year our lovely leader, Margaret, at the Christmas Card Club Challenge asks us for our themes for our personal challenges and for some unknown reason I always try to pick something that will be a little different to the 'norm'. I then struggle to come up with something and so I promise ladies I will stick with 'Anything Goes' for my future choices.
However I think I have come up with a card that will at the very least please my lovely friends in Virginia in the USA as the pineapple is their state fruit I believe.
Colours here are melon mambo, basic gray, black and white. Using the Stampin' Up! set Pop of Paradise I've created a tropical Christmas tree and used the coordinating designer series paper, Pop of Pink, to add a stand for my tree. The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the Merry Christmas and 'from all of us' is from one of our current Sale-a-bration free gift sets.
I'm looking forward to touring the other ladies cards to see how they tackled my challenge. You too can visit their cards by clicking HERE

Rainbow Challenge
Stampin' Up! Sunshine Wishes
Over at Moving Along with the Times we've got a rainbow challenge for Team A this month. I decided to create my rainbow with my latest favourite Stampin' Up! tool the Watercolour Pencils. It's simple to do and you can try with your pencils on a piece of watercolour paper very quickly to make a quick, but colourful card.
All you need to do is 'scribble' blocks of colour that overlap slightly then take an aqua painter filled with water and brush water over the pencil colouring starting at one end and moving through the colour block. The colours will merge where they meet and can create other colours and shades to create your personal rainbow.
I've then added a die cut sentiment using gold foil card with the Stampin' Up! Sunshine Wishes dies and stamped 'hello' with the Labeler Alphabet set and added some of my favourite bling sequins and silver thread.
Visit us at MAWTT, check out the Design Team cards and join us for our challenge.
I hope the sun is shining on you today.
Hugs Zx
ps Quick Tip
Did you know that if you put tear tape in strips across the back of your card stock to be die cut when using small word dies like this before die cutting it makes it easier to adhere the die cut to your project. Be sure not to remove the protective paper until after the word is cut though.
