The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate from Stampin' Up!

Origami gift boxes made with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and Diagonal Plate
A few posts back I shared with you the wonderful new Simply Scored Scoring Tool. It's a fab piece of kit and can be used for numerous projects not least the one above.  Connect your scoring tool with the diagonal plate and you can make delightful gift boxes in different sizes.  On their own in christmas papers like Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty DSP they make inexpensive, but classy decorations for your dinner table or under your tree, but of course you can choose your paper and make any colour way for these simple origami boxes.

The diagonal plate also allows you to make custom envelopes for your cards and comes with some popular size envelope instructions for you to follow, but you can customise your envies for each card you make.  Check out this video to see how you can make envelopes.

If your interested in trying out the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool with the diagonal plate then contact me about a class.

Christmas Card Club

Yes another fortnight has passed and it's time for Christmas Card Club Challenge. This time the lovely Lorraine has set the challenge. We had to make a card where the sentiment was the key feature of the card.  I think I've achieved that and this card does exactly what it says on the tin!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlits with Holly Berry DSP

A great way for you to cut out letters is for you to use your Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Timeless Type Junior Alphabet sizzlits.  They offer you both upper and lower case letters and here you can see I've used the upper case die cutting letters from the different sheets of the Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series papers.   Snowflakes in soft suede from the Serene Snowflakes stamp set and the lace border punch gives a pretty decorative border along with pearls, rhinestones and taffeta real red ribbon.
Don't forget to check out the other challenge members blogs for more inspiration and if you fancy joining please let one of us know.

Back with another Christmas Challenge on 17 June.

Christmas Card Club

Today is my first contribution to Christmas Club.  Yes hard to believe I'm thinking about Christmas but like many of you I was way behind on card making when I hit Christmas 2011 and I happened to comment on Sylvie's blog that she is really organised making Chrimbo cards already.  She came back to me and said that the ladies in the club had started their club for that very reason,  they weren't organised!!!!!  They invited me to join and now each fortnight one of the club suggests the challenge and everyone makes a Christmas themed card using that challenge.  In my opinion I chose a tough one to start on as it had to be a card with more than the usual one fold line.  The challenge also stated that it couldn't be an easel card so I set too hunting about my craft room and remembered an interesting card made at craft club.  It was set then by the lovely Jenny and it reminded me of a lovely lady Kath who also attended our club.  Sadly she passed away last year and so this card is for Jenny, thank you for the technique, and for Kath as yesterday our craft club met for a day of crafting and we fondly remembered our friend and how helpful and generous she always was to us all.
Now the card is also a gift inself as it opens from the picture above to the 'door step' below.  I've kept the colouring simple on the inside and hopefully the snow gives you the message of Christmas and the sentiments confirm it.

Do pop by the other ladies in the Christmas Club as they all have beautiful cards to show you.  We all have different styles too so I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration. You can find all their blogs in my side bar.  Have yourself a fortnightly blog hop of Christmas cheer!
Finally I want to thank the Card Club ladies for the wonderfully warm welcome I've received on joining the Club and hope I don't let them down.
Have a great day.
Happy Stampin'
