Stampin' Up! Flower Shop

Last week I visited a lovely craft group organised by Carol.  They meet every week and share various crafts and obviously have a lot of fun.  They invited me along to share some simple stamping techniques with them and I also took some supplies along for them to make a card.  This is very similar to what they made.  Our next session will be to look at heat embossing which I love as it there is so much that you can achieve through embossing both heat wise and folder wise.  I'm looking forward to seeing all the ladies again soon.

Like many they liked the Stampin' Up! Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets and punches.  As ever they are easy to use to create pretty cards and in honour of Valentine's Day I used real red and basic black ink with some papers from the Stacked with Love mini DSP stack.

This card continues it's sentiment inside saying 'Just sayin' thanks' all taken from my new Crazy About You stamp set which let's you build up sentiments from individual words.

Have you made your Valentine yet or do you need more than one!!!!!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop - pretty as a picture!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop , My Friend and Pansy Punch

Mother's Day in the UK seems to be earlier than the rest of the world and after Valentine's day it always seems to catch us up really quick.  Gifts like this can be done at any time and make very pleasing Mother's Day gifts.  You can do something similar with a scrapbook page also including pics of pets or grandchildren or just you for your lovely Mum.

I made this pretty picture using an Ikea frame which is deeper than the usual picture frame and allows for a 3D effect.  I stamped leaves directly onto a piece of whisper white cardstock to create the depth and also some of the flowers.  I then added more by stamping them on whisper white and punching them out with the pansy punch from Stampin' Up!. I put them onto my piercing mat and gently put pressure on the centre of each flower using the stylus from my Simply Scored scoring tool.  You can of course buy the stylus on it's own if you want.   Small circlur movements slowly bring up the petals and give them more depth and texture. By layering them you can create the 3D effect and of course a little bit of bling in the centre in the form of giant pearls or rhinestones brings them to life.  I layered the whole thing onto some garden green cardstock and designer seriew paper from my subtles stack.

I am therefore for once organised with something!  My mummy will be pleased!

Have a great week!

Stampin' Up! Flower Shop - my new favourite

It would seem that Flower Shop is taking a fair bit of my crafting inspiration at  the moment. I'm finding it a really versatile flower set and so easy to use with it's coordinating punch.  I made this card for my Brother and Sister-in-laws anniversary recently.  It was easy to do and looks so pretty with the flowers stamped in our new gold pigment ink.  You can buy all these items online now 24/7 via my business page.  Just create an account and have whatever you order shipped to you.  It's as easy as that.
