Christmas Card Club - A Perfect Blend

Stampin Up Happy Hour Perfect Blend and That's the Ticket

It's time for another Christmas Card Club Challenge and we've been set the task of using black and white with one other colour.  I chose silver and have also gone off the traditional route using my Perfect Blend stamp set for a different theme.  My hint of Christmas is a bit of holly from the Happy Hour Stamp Set.  You can turn the coffee cup or I'd like to think mulled wine cup! into any shade using paper piecing to alter the insulating band.  Just stamp your image twice on the desired paper or card stock and carefully cut out the right pieces to piece your picture together.  Sometimes you may find it better to cut inside the stamped outline and sometimes as with this one it's nice to include all the detail of the stamp.  You'll probably need to click on my pic to enlarge it to see that detail mind.

A simple sentiment stamped in black Staz-on ink onto silver foil card stock along with some bunting made using the banner punch you may have seen during our Sale-a-bration promotion.  Worry not if you missed it as it's coming back in our new annual catalogue in July.  If you cut your paper to the same width as the punch you can slip it into just part of the punch so that you can punch the banner but then choose how long you want each banner to be and hence you'll see my two lengths.

Remember there are lots of ladies in our club and you can visit them for more Christmas inspiration.  Why not start with visiting Karen our challenger!

As an afterthought I added some doodles with a Stampin' Up! UK chalk marker for a slightly different look!
Until next time be happy!

Happy Birthday Dad!

stampin up undefined robin spring card

Happy Easter to all my readers and Happy Birthday Dad!

You may have seen my earlier stampingscene post when I shared with you my Stampin' Up! Undefined Carved Robin Stamp on a Christmas card, well I was too excited about it not to share it again and what better card could it adorn than one for my dear Dad's birthday!

I'm finding lots of uses for my Hardwood background stamp and not only is it great for this card, but it is perfect for those elusive male cards generally.

My Dad and I love the spring and so I just had to add some beautiful daffodils which I made using my Petite Petals punch and one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.  The white Narcissi are in bloom now too so I've added a couple of them too using whisper white and cajun craze card stock.  All you need to do is punch the petals and then the centre is punched and then gently tweaked using your stylus from the Simply Scored Scoring Tool or one you bought separately.  Put the punched shaped on your piercing pad and gently push the larger end of the stylus into the centre and to raise the edges of the centre piece and then work around the centre point to bring them all inward.  I've also used matching markers to just highlight the edges of the centres just like the real Narcissi.

My new fringe scissors from the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer catalogue help you make lovely green grass!

Remember when you can't find that perfect stamp for that special project you can turn to Stampin' Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit to make it for yourself to create that personal, exclusive project!
