Hostess/Techniques Club - Two step stamping

Last night I hosted my first hostess/techniques club. Everyone decorated a notebook cover so that they can keep a record of the projects and techniques they learn once a month over the next 6 months. They used designer series paper and the stamp set A Rose is a Rose with two step stamping technique to upgrade an ordinary notebook into something very pretty.

For two step stamping use a base stamp in one colour and then an outline stamp to highlight and detail the image in the same or a contrasting colour. If you use the same colour ink then you 'stamp off' the excess ink on scrap first.

If you'd like to learn more about two step stamping then why not contact me for more details of my next hostess/techniques club starting in February 2009.

We also looked at repetition stamping which is exactly what it says. You ink your stamp and then stamp the image two or three times without reinking in between, to create shadow and fading.
