Pretty Flowers

Good afternoon all and I hope the sun is shining with you as it has been today in Lincolnshire. I've been so busy catching up as the weekend was lots of fun. It was my birthday on Saturday so we were out for dinner with the children and my parents on Friday night and on Saturday we finally succumbed and told the children that we had bought a WII. We've held off for a while, but finally gave in. We then spent the day being taught how to use it by the children. I'm feeling very old......
I've still not caught up with chores, but I'm a firm believer in 'there's more to life than chores' and so I've been tinkering in my craftroom and have decided that I rather like the treat cups that are in the mini catalogue at the moment. You've seen the bugs in the post below and now here's a really simple idea to send a little more than just a card to a friend. Of course it's fun nibbling Jelly Bellies while you make it too so double pleasure; crafting and eating sweets I mean!!!
All you need to do is punch lots of ovals and then use the same 13/4 inch punch that you need to make an aperture to insert the treat cup, to punch off the end of each petal so that it fits nicely around the cup. The leaves are easy too! Just punch an oval, fold it in half and then either score it with your paper folder to make vein type marks or put it through a crimper if you have one. Open it out and there's a simple leaf. I just love the rich razzleberry cardstock too! Isn't it a fab colour and goes perfectly with the old olive and snippet of orchid opulence border. Remember orchid opulence is a retiring colour in September and so if it's one you like especially now it goes so well with the rich razzleberry then please stock up before it sells out.
I guess I've tinkered enough and really ought to do some chores! I'll check back soon.
Happy crafting,
Zx

Glad to hear you are still getting down with the "youngsters" on the Wii ha!
