Normally I'd be saying 'Oh it's Monday ugh!', but today is a special day. It's my big/little girl's birthday and I can't quite believe that this is her last birthday in primary school. She'd like to think she's all grown up already, but like all 11 year olds she's a bit to learn yet!!
For her birthday card I've tried something a little bit different and out of my comfort zone using co-ordinating papers from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack in the mini catalogue, along with some Sweet Pea felt accessories, the On a Pedestal stamp set and the inevitable dazzling diamonds for my little starlet. I've distressed some of the edges using the distressing tool in the cutter kit and added some faux stitching with the white gel pen. The result was she said 'Wow I love this Mummy!' when she opened it so I guess it had the desired effect.....
I hope you like it too and maybe you'll have a go at crafting out of your comfort zone! Must dash now as I have a cake to bake for a special tea!!!!
