The Kissing Technique

Hi all what a fab weekend we've had with all this sunshine. Better certainly than England's performance on the footie pitch! Roll on tomorrow and more Wimbledon!!!! Now earlier this week all the ladies from one of my techniques clubs came to learn about Kissing with a Twist! But with a twist is no use if you don't know how to 'kiss' in the first place! This is not a shaggy dog story nor is it going to get out of hand so please read on.......

To 'kiss' your stamps you need a solid image stamp like our Flower Accent below and a background stamp with a reasonably close knit design similar to the one in our Rustic Rooster Level 2 hostess set.

Ink the back ground stamp. Put the clean solid stamp on top with the rubber effectively 'kissing'.

Remove the background stamp and then pop it onto your cardstock.

Just like you would normally when stamping. Lift your stamp and voila. This is what you get.

You can of course vary this by inking your solid stamp first in a different colour and you can cut out the image to form a pattern shape like those below.

You can play about with this simple technique and achieve all different results depending upon the colours used or the stamps involved. For the class we used the Flower Accent solid stamp from the mini which is only £6.95 and the Ato Z background stamp also in the mini.
Have a go at this and I'll be back soon with details of how to 'Kiss with a twist!'
Hugs Zx
