Hello everyone. I'm having a good day. So far, I've had a marginal lie-in, played tennis, walked the dog and soon when my gorgeous hubby gets home we are spending the rest of the day together doing whatever takes our fancy! How so, the children are still with my parents and although I miss them it's bliss!!!! So much bliss means that I've tinkered in my craft room too and made these two little cards which I'm rather taken with. Our new soft suede ink goes perfectly with very vanilla and kraft(soon to be crumb cake) cardstock. Add those warm neutrals to Greenhouse Garden and you can begin to see why this is one of my favourite stamp sets. Remember earlier in the year Stampin' Up! donated £1 from each set sold to help the Haitian Appeal, well now the set is on offer to you and I again will give £1 to charity for every set I sell. This time as an ex-wren I shall be supporting the Help 4 Heroes campaign so not only can you save £4.59 buying this set during August you can help a good cause. If you missed it earlier in the year now is your chance to bag a bargain and help someone else too! There's always a chance that this set may get retired at the end of September so now is a very good time to buy.
Now I've also used the En Francais background stamp which lends itself nicely to vintage looks and I've smudged or rather the technical term is distressed ink around the egdes of the card and matt layers to add to the vintage look. Pearls from the pretties kit look fab here too and a bit of crease distressing of cardstock finishes it all off.
I'm off now for my carefree afternoon. Take care.
Hugs
