Faux Silk - a new technique for me!

There are many bonuses when you are an Indenpendent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, but one of the best ones for me is that I receive a monthly newsletter which contains lots of tips and techniques for using all our fabulous products to their best advantage.  This month our letter featured the technique of creating faux silk and so I deicided to have a go .................. twice in fact and I really like the finish that you can achieve with just a tube of Tombow and a piece a crumpled tissue paper!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Like the sound of it then why not book a party and I'll show you just exactly what you do to get such a pretty finish to your project.

This particular card is great too, because I've used the Sale-a-bration stamp set Bliss which is yours as a FREE gift if you buy all the products needed to make the card.  Remember that from now until the end of February you will receive a free gift for every £45 spent on product.  Spend £50 and you'll earn two loyalty club points from me also.  The colours used are elegant eggplant, so saffron and always artichoke.  Isn't it pretty.......!

The example below was my first try at this new technique and again uses the FREE set Bliss, but also the truly gorgeous set Just Believe which I received as a free gift when I attended The Stampin' Up! Convention last November.  It's such a fun event mixing with hundreds of stamping ladies and I'm glad to say the odd one or two chaps.  We laugh a lot and do lots of crafting and learn so much.  You could join us this year in Disneyland Paris when the French host our 3rd annual convention by joining my team The TANTalizing Stampers.  Check out some of the reasons why it's such a good thing to consider here  You can do as much or as little as you like as a demonstrator, but you still receive the same benefits from Stampin' Up! while you remain active and have your fair share of the fun.  I'm more than happy to talk about what you'd like to achieve and to help you decide how you might achieve it, just give me a call or drop me an email and I'll be in touch.

At the beginning of this post I mentioned it was a new technique for me and as such it's another new beginning for me and something out of my comfort zone so I've added it to Shelli's challenge again.  You too can try something new at your Stampin' Up! party just call me to book your Chicks and Chocolate Party.  Chicks and Chocolate, book it to find out more!!!!!!!!!!!
More soon.
Love Zx
