Stampin' Up! Secret Garden Stamps and Framelits

Hi everyone, today I have a card for you that I've made to take part in the Oldie but a Goodie challenge set by my fellow blogger and friend Laurie.  The theme is pink and red and you have to use something old ie that you've had in your stash for more than 6 months.  I've used some blushing bride retired card stock for some of my flowers which was sat forlornly gathering dust on my shelf and also my sentiment is from a very old Stampin' Up! set which I've had for years.

I've also used some new goodies from the Spring Mini in the form of Secret Garden stamp set and framelits.  It won't surprise my team to know that I had a blond moment and was half way through cutting out the flowers when I remembered that I have the framelits which make light work of cutting out these gorgeous flowers!!

I've embossed the flowers in melon mambo or white onto real red or blushing bride card stock.  I've also touched up one or two with a real red marker pen to add more contrast and also I've 'smudged' the large pink flower with melon mambo ink around its edges with a sponge dauber.

I wanted to include some leaves, but needed to keep to the theme of pink and red and so I've just embossed them in clear so that they are there more as a shadow.  The base card is pink pirouette with a raspberry ripple marker frame.

Let's hope Mum likes it!

Back soon.

Zx
