TGIF - Back to School Challenge #layeredlettersalphabet

I'm enjoying having a go at a few challenges and this is my latest card for just such a challenge over at TGIF Challenges where this week it is a theme challenge asking for projects with a 'School Days' link.  These chalk boards are nothing new, but I really enjoyed making it and it was fun to make and will be sent to my cheeky nephews Elliott and Will for when they return to school soon.

The Hardwood background stamp from Stampin' Up! makes it easy to decorate the frame and just basic black card stock is needed for the chalk board itself.  I stamped with the Layered Letters Alphabet stamp and hand wrote the 'for' using the chalk board marker pen.  My lovely new Tree Builder punch provided the apple and the long time favourite of many Papillon Potpourri and matching punch provided the butterfly. With it being 'back to school' I've used some solid bold colours for some cute banner decoration and linen thread to bring them together.

The sentiment is from a long retired set called Basic Phrases and I used my Stampin' Write Markers to vary the colour of the letters.
