Stampin' Up! Pop of Paradise - Pineapples for Christmas?
Well I'm not sure why I do it, but towards the end of the year our lovely leader, Margaret, at the Christmas Card Club Challenge asks us for our themes for our personal challenges and for some unknown reason I always try to pick something that will be a little different to the 'norm'. I then struggle to come up with something and so I promise ladies I will stick with 'Anything Goes' for my future choices.
However I think I have come up with a card that will at the very least please my lovely friends in Virginia in the USA as the pineapple is their state fruit I believe.
Colours here are melon mambo, basic gray, black and white. Using the Stampin' Up! set Pop of Paradise I've created a tropical Christmas tree and used the coordinating designer series paper, Pop of Pink, to add a stand for my tree. The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Sentiments for the Merry Christmas and 'from all of us' is from one of our current Sale-a-bration free gift sets.
I'm looking forward to touring the other ladies cards to see how they tackled my challenge. You too can visit their cards by clicking HERE
Hugs and Happy Sunday Zx

I'm pleased it made you smile Margaret. Thank you x
I'm not sure I did either Rita last year when I submitted my theme, but it worked out in the end lol. xx
Super card and a great challenge Zoe! Don't you dare go for the softer option!!! It is great to get us out of our comfort zone - one of the reasons we have the club! Wait till you see mine! Hugs Christine xx
A great card for the theme. You have certainly created a different style Christmas card to spur us on in this challenge which although I struggled I did enjoy it.

Oh so pleased you liked the challenge. I have seen your cards and they made me smile. Zx
Funny how we both came up with a tree and I know I struggled too, but I love yours and that die is definitely different. Thanks Lorraine. Zx
What a delightful 'welcoming' tree in the non-traditional colors! I must admit to having to think about this challenge! (sometimes I think ALL my cards are a bit wacky!). As I'm enjoying some of the humor cards, I'm reminded of stamps that I have, that would have worked (but didn't think of these at the time). I had made a background, and had been playing with rusting powder. The elements were handy, so I thought why not make a 'non-traditional color' card, so that's what I did! I LOVE the purple & green on the pineapples, and brilliant idea to stamp in the tree shape. Thanks for a 'out-of-my comfort' zone challenge. I think you had some fab entries from our teamies! Hugs
Oops, forgot to say I loved the tiny present as the tree trunk too.
Well you can't get more wacky than a Pineapple tree for Christmas. I love it. Keep coming up with the ideas. Hugs Mrs A.
