Using up my last piece of Stampin' Up! SAB free gift Between the Lines paper to create this card with the emboss resist technique. Reminded of it by Stampin' Up! 's fab CEO, Sara Douglas recently I decided to put this last piece to good use before I possibly invest in some new colouring papers maybe appearing in June !!! So I used the Hardwood background stamp to firstly clear heat emboss on the paper. This acts as a mask over the stamped area stopping further ink being added. I used Stampin' Up! sponges and ink daubers to then add some colour to the design in the form of Pink Pirouette and Rose Red. I shared this technique with my Card Club customers recently and some of them also added Old Olive to the leaves. The sentiment is stamped onto a punched circle which is then framed with a scalloped die cut circle from the Layering Circle dies. A little 'smudging' of ink around the white circle to soften the harshness of white straight onto the black and some enamel shapes finish of a simple but effective card.
I'll be trying this again soon with new products and am counting the days until 1 June to order.
More soon.

Oh wow, I love the result here! So is this how you went about? 1) stamping image in black 2) adding the clear embossed pattern 3) adding color?
Love the look, I must have a go at this!
