For the month of June the Moving Along With The Times Design team, including me, are inviting you to share your Art Deco handmade cards. I have to say I bought this set especially for this challenge, but it hasn't been an easy one for me to do. I'm reasonably happy now and it is very elegant and does have a lovely slant to Art Deco.
I've layered my stamping onto a piece of specialty papers from the pack called Simply Elegant and then stamped in black the beautiful flourishes to frame my sentiment which is gold embossed onto a die cut stitched rectangle which is then matted onto a rectangle from the new Scalloped Contours dies.
I've also added some stamping onto the white base card in basic grey ink and some gold embossed, fussy cut flowers from the same set. A handful of silver metallic pearls connect with the silver on the paper.
I know you will find lots of lovely Art Deco ideas over at the MAWTT blog challenge and hope you'll join in. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does as I know it is a new style for me and more inspiration for future use will be great.
Off now to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts and try to keep our crazy pets calm in the heat. We also have birthday celebrations coming for my daughter so I'm hoping it stays bright and sunny until at lest tomorrow evening.
Have a fab weekend
Keep safe and keep stamping

Stampin' Up! have just launched their new kit collection which are perfect for crafting on the go, beginners as well as accomplished crafters and also great for children especially as they are self contained and come with everything you need to create the projects including adhesive. Wet days in the summer holidays will be better with these.
