Seascape Stampin' Up! Bundle - Perfect for Under the Sea

New month means new challenge at Moving Along With The Times (MAWTT) and I've chosen this month's theme.  Yes you guessed it Under the Sea.  Come and join us or at the very least take in all the inspiration from the design team and everyone who joins in.

I've made a pyramid card which is far easier than it looks.  You need to cut three pieces of white card that are for example 2 cm smaller in length and width than the previous piece.  A simple  start would be with a card base of 21cm x 29cm scored on the long side at 14.85cm and then layers of coordinating card 8.5cm x 12.8cm and 6.5 cm x 10.8cm.  The white layers would be 10x 14.3, 8 x 12.3 and 6 x 10.3.

To create the design you need to first of all layer the white pieces and use some Seal adhesive in the centre back of each of the top two layers.  You don't want this to be too sticky so 'fluff' it a little on the back of your hand to reduce the stickiness.  Then position the three pieces so that that matt onto each other with the smallest in the centre of the middle piece and so on.....

Stamp your images all over the card bearing in mind that with some smaller images you will lose part of the design when you come to layer in the coordinating card, so for example be careful where you stamp the bubbles.

You will then layer the cards onto your card base so that the coordinating card frames each piece of white card.  These all stick flat onto each other.  You can then add other details like the diet seahorse and sentiment with Stampin' dimensionals.  Once you have done the basic pyramid card you can very the layer sizes, introduce more dimension and embellishments.

I stamped with the Stampin' Up! Seascape stamp set and used the Sea Life dies.  I love how easily you can add a sentiment and hook it into the Seahorse's tail.

Check out the rest of the design team cards and I hope you'll join in the challenge.  You can purchase all the products I used in my Stampin' Up! shop or click on the individual items below.
