I saw a fun technique a few days ago and had to try it as it looked so much fun. I wasn't sure if this Gorgeous Garden die would work as the design I saw had a more geometric repetitive pattern, but this I think has turned out well with the leaves looking quite appropriate for the giraffes.
I've got 4 layers to showcase the image and with such an adorable scene created with this stamp very little else is required so I add a frame, sentiment and simple embellishments and let the image and die cuts do the talking.
The colours used include Vanilla, Copper Clay, Pebbled Path and Early Espresso.
I used Tombow multipurpose glue to stick the layers but I think double sided adhesive sheets would work although it wouldn't be so easy to move the layers over each other to make sure they are stacked as exactly as possible onto each other.
I also made a version with black stamping on white card and I'm undecided as to which I prefer, perhaps you can help me decide?
For this one I kept the die edge in tact and then layered it onto black card and then Lost Lagoon which I stamped tone on tone using the leaf stamp from the Sweet & Precious stamp set. I used the same stamp to add some detail to the circles for the sentiment.
Which do you prefer? Vanilla or White?
Happy stamping
