Handmade Thank You Cards

stitched greenery die and friendly hello stamp set for thank you card
Just a quick post to share a thank you card.  I have so much to be thankful for and in a world full of so much turmoil right now something bright and cheerful is always welcome.

I'm grateful for all my lovely blog and social media supporters and so consider this a card for each of you.

I love my new Stitched Greenery die which I used to create the first step of this card. Once used on a white piece of card I used blending brushes and 3 shades of green ink to add an ombre effect before clapping yes clapping some water over the piece to do some faux bleeching.  Clapping gives you random splatters and you can leave them for a few seconds before blotting off the larger spots with kitchen towel.

The flowers are from the Friendly Hello free stamp set when you spend £90 this month on Stampin' Up! goodies.  I stamped several and fussy cut them to create a little bit of a decoupage effect and I've add a bold die cut thanks which has two layers one background of vellum and then the bold Magenta Madness on top.

Magenta Madness along with the base card colour of Bumblebee will retire very soon along with the other three 2020-2022 in colours so be sure not to miss out on supplies of these if they are your favourite.

I'm sharing this card in the TGIF Challenge this week which is to share makes using the Stampin' Up! saleabration products.  You can join in too!

Have a great day

A new stampin' challenge for me!

TGIF Throwdown Challenge August 2015

Do you like a challenge? Well if you do I suggest you pop over the TGIF Throwdown challenge.  You have a month to enter, but the rules are different to most challenges you'll come across because it's a bit like going shopping and who doesn't like to shop!  You have to use some of the items in the shopping basket to make your card and there are also some staples in the pantry that you can use to coordinate with your basket items, but if it isn't in the basket or the pantry you just can't use it!

The August challenge is detailed on their blog, but essentially the basket items consist of a choice of two embossing folders, calypso coral ink, pear pizzazz or mint macaron ink, silver glimmer paper, pool party card stock and the stamp set Flower Patch.  You have to use a least four of the basket items and as I don't have either of the embossing folders I've used all the other ingredients to 'bake' my 'cake' LOL!

Check out the challenge as they are adding inspiration all month and of course there will be other folk up for a challenge like me for you to browse.

More from me soon. Zx
