Christmas Card Club - Festive Flurry meets Banner Blast

Stampin' Up! Festive Flurry meets Banner Blast
This club challenge is really great as it often stretches my thought patterns and most definitely my imagination and use of products.  Our current challenge has been set by Christine who's challenge title is 'Let's see some wings' and her suggestion comment is

'I thought this week we could make something with wings. Now this could be angels, Christmas fairies, or birds of some sort or another.'

Now I felt I'd excelled myself a fortnight ago in my Stampin' Up! undefined post by designing and making my own Robin stamp for the feature a robin challenge.  However this one really caught me on the hop! I thought and I thought and I th......... and I decided to make snowflake fairies for those of you who are thinking I've lost the plot!  I was inspired by my lovely friend Victoria who made a stamp using undefined with a very simple but effective image which you can see here
To make my fairies I used Stampin' Up! 's Festive Flurry set and then added my own arms and legs and used the Starburst framelit dies to make a head and drew the faces.  The banner is made using free twine from the Sweet Sorbet Saleabration accessory kit along with stamped banners again a free gift of the stamp set Banner Blast and free Banner punch.

To create the matting layer I embossed with Decorative Dots embossing folder some silver foil sheet and added a sentiment from Snow Day.

For more bling and sparkle because after all that's just what Christmas needs I've added some rhinestones and silver glimmer paper. Downside with all this silver and shine it's difficult to photograph, but I think this shows the twinkle!

Hope you are having a wonderful day and the sun is shining with you too!
