Stampin' Up! Be of Good Cheer DSP Decorations

Christmas decorations in the shops are often very expensive and if you like to change yours every year it can be a costly experience, but if you make your own with Stampin' Up! designer series papers the colour scheme can be what you want and you can afford to change them every year. 

 

Here's one of many baubles I've made this year with Stampin' Up! Be of Good Cheer dsp.  They are very simple and the only other tools you need are circle punches, ribbon, wire or stapler and glue dots.  If the weather ever gets any better I'll take some more pictures to share with you. 

 

A great way to use up those bits of paper from packs that sit and do very little once you've made your project that you originally bought the paper for........

Stampin' Border Banter

 

I just love the simplicity of the Stampin' Up! Border Banter Set in the AW12 catalogue.  You can use it throughout the year to add subtle background stamping like the chevrons above or for a sentiment in the 'merry merry merry........'  This is a great Christmas card as it's simple to make, flat for cheaper postage, but carries the message of joy at Christmas to your friends.  Check out the use of part of the 'merry' stamp in my previous post about the Stampin' Up! new paper trimmer.

 

It's used here with Be of Good Cheer designer series paper, linen thread and a partial stamp use from Greetings of the Season.  I hope yours is very merry.  Come back soon for more simple, but effective Christmas cards.

Christmas Card Club - Sugar & Spice

 This fortnight's Christmas Card Club Challenge was set by yours truly and I thought that the theme of Sugar and Spice and all things nice was just right for a Christmas card, especially as I have the fabulous Stampin' Up! Scentsational Season stamp set and  Holiday Collection framelits. I received these items free as part of my title benefits as a demonstrator. Sadly what you can't see from the picture is the sugar and spice embossing powder that I've used to add the 'scent' of Christmas too!

Stampin' Up! Scentsational Season with Northern Flurry Folder

The Northern Flurry embossing folder is great for adding a seasonal back drop to cards and with a little bit of dazzling details it's got the sparkle it needs for the festive season. 
A great way to use up oddments of ribbon and tulle is to add them as a fringe to a matting layer of cardstock and linen thread is always a great, but simple accent. 
That gingerbread man is certainly full of sugar and spice and I hope he brings a smile to many a face this Christmas!
