Christmas Card Club - Embossing

My is it me or are the weeks going even quicker on their journey to Christmas.  It's time for Christmas Card Club and Gran Margaret's choice for the challenge is embossing either heat or textured impressions.  I've got a little of both on my card.  I've heat embossed my simple, but elegant sentiment using Versamark ink and Stampin' Up! gold embossing powder. The sentiment is part of the oh so gorgeous Embellished Ornaments set from the Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue along with the black glimmer paper which doesn't have to be just for Halloween projects.  You'll see I"ve also used the embossing folder, Large Polka Dot, to add some texture to my red foil ornament.

If you like the basic rhinestones then you'll love the iced rhinestones embellishments. They are larger than the basics, but then have an extra rim around them which rightly or wrongly I would describe as being similar to a beautifully crimped pie crust.  You can used the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies to cut out a varied selection of ornaments and can mix and match segments and textures.  The gold and red foil card is perfect for shimmer and all these lovely ingredients satisfy my need for bling.

Check out all the other ladies lovely projects in our challenge club and if you'd like to join us please do let me know. All styles welcome.

Have a great week.
