Happy Birthday with Big Bold Birthday

I can't let this post past without saying that I'm thinking about dear friends in Washington DC today.  Having spoken with them on Friday, they explained that the tension in the US and their great city is quite understandably at an all time high.  They lost a good friend who just happened to be at a meeting in the Pentagon.  My thoughts are with them, their friends and everyone else who suffered loss on that tragic day.
Thinking of you.....................

Now my card today is for a friend who celebrates her birthday tomorrow.  I know she will be too busy today to check in here so it's safe to share.  She likes cupcakes and so I've used the retiring set from Stampin' Up! Big Bold Birthday.  I've had this set since the beginning of my demonstratorship and it seems really odd to finally see it go into retirement.  Bye bye BIG BOLD BIRTHDAY.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute a popular greetings set and is coloured using the matching markers.

Now the colours are melon mambo, pumpkin pie, rose red seam binding ribbon and a touch of tangerine tango.  You might spot some other items that interest you, but you'll have to contact me to find out about them or be patient for a while.............!

Be safe this anniversary day!

Here's a taster of Melon Mambo

It seems a lifetime ago already since we were delayed on holiday in the USA. We visited with friends in Washington DC and then all flew to Florida to 'do' Disney. It was a fabulous holiday and none of us would complain about then being delayed once we returned to Washington. I was able to fit in a little stamping which was quite fortuitous as I met up with a US demo friend and ended up with some melon mambo ribbon which I've used on this simple card to share with you today. The melon mambo teams up well with pretty in pink, rose red and chocolate chip inks and the paper is melon mambo too! I just love this spotty, dotty ribbon which just adds fun and pizzazz to any project. Remember I'm offering free ink pads with orders of something from the new colour products listed in the post below if you order by 15 May. The stamp sets used are Circle Circus and Wow Flowers for the greeting. You could of course budget for your crafting needs by joining my virtual stamping club starting soon. Contact me for details of how you can join and earn some free hostess gifts including an Idea Book, Exclusive Limited Edition stamp set and free merchandise of your choice.
Hope the sun is shining where you are today.
Happy crafting
