The Stampin' Up! Warehouse 'Picking' Zone

stampin up Reason to Smile
The final section of the Merlin Logistics is called the 'picking' section.  This is, like many warehouses, where the goods are chosen, 'picked' before packaging and shipment.  Jo is just setting the computer to go for us to push the trolley around and collect our goodies.

Helga just wanted it all...............understandably!!!!!

Once we'd 'picked' all our items we went to package them up for delivery.  The screen, although you probably can't tell says Zoe Tant, Miss Simply Scored UK. It doesn't have my address which allowed us to take our packages with us back to the Stampin' Up! offices and take as much as we could back to our homes.  What a treat!  I can't show you a picture of my items yet as they're from the Autumn/Winter catalogue launching on 1 September, but you can see sneak peeks in the projects I'm showing.

The brown paper machine got the better of me again!
Then once packaged we were able to sign a few packages to our friends that were ready for despatch to the various delivery companies.

Helga is signing one for the lovely Jenni Pauli, a german demo.
I was thrilled to find one for my downline Bridgette and so added a special message of my own.

Our job done it was then left to Andreas, the MD of Merlin Logistics to carry my package carefully back to Axel's car for the short journey back to the Stampin' Up! Office.

Now that's what I call service and I also like the thought that Gentlemen still do exist!!!

Valerie was just as lucky when Axel carried her box, and Helga took it further having a picture with two kind gentlemen!

More soon. Enjoy your weekend. Zx

Reason to Smile

I certainly had a reason to smile on my trip to Frankfurt. It was full of fun, sharing and inspiration.  This month as you know you can get your hands on this gorgeous stamp set also a 'Reason to Smile' because you can have it free with an order of £60 or more or indeed you can buy it.

Wood Mount £18.95     item no 130826
Clear Mount £14.95      item no 130828

In Frankfurt I was lucky enough to have my pick of the warehouse for my prize as Stampin' Up! Europe's Miss Simply Scored Competition Winner for the UK.  So I've used one or two new bits along with my free stamp set.

In the warehouse we saw LOTS of pallets full of these delish pieces of literature! Look closer at the next photo and you'll guess what it is.  Sadly that's all we saw.  I did suggest to Jo the Operations Manager for Merlin Logistics that he might let us look at a broken open pallet, but Axel the Business Manager for Stampin' Up! Europe shouted ''NO!'' just as Jo was on his way to find one!
Axel you're just no fun!!!
Roll on September when we demonstrators will be able to get our hands on early preview items from this publication!! If you think you'd like to see products early then contact me for a chat about becoming a demonstrator.  There's no pressure and I'll give you an honest opinion of how it could work for you.
Contact me on 07717855179 or email me zoetant@live.co.uk

Our journey around the warehouse continued.  You may remember the shopping trolley that we pushed around last year.  This time I felt a little more confident in pushing it, but still managed to overshoot my first item. You can see the arrow is yellow and the centimetre marker on the right says -25cm in red. This means I needed to pull it back a bit. Too excited that's the problem.
Green Arrow =  STASH
SMILE!!

What's your reason to smile today...........

Fifi found a Stampin' Up! Heaven!

Our day began with a tour of the Stampin' Up! European Office.  Charlotte Harding is responsible for demonstrator product training and has as you may remember from my trip last year, a stampers dream office. On one side she does boring stuff like planning, but on the other she has a store cupboard to die for and Fifi found it most amusing that she could fit inside 'stampers heaven'!

Next stop the Stampin' Up! warehouse, Merlin Logistics. You can see the journey of the pallets from arrival to deep storage to buffer zone and picking section.

on my Miss Big Shot trip last year starting with a similar screen to the one above.

Next time there may well be winners from The Netherlands or Austria as we look foward to welcoming new demonstrators and customers from these countries. Exciting times are ahead of us as Stampin' Up! grows.

More photos soon Zx
