Just wanted to share a birthday card with you using Stampin' Up! Party This Ways stamp set and its co-ordinating Petite Pennants Builder Punch. It was quick and easy to make and great for using up scraps of your versatile designer series paper stacks for the bunting across the top. Colours include daffodil delight, tangerine tango and pacific point and you only need one ink pad! Don't you think the mini brads look spot on!
Come back tomorrow as I have some wonderful surprises for you.
Happy stampin'

Birthday Wishes for Rosella
My children are currently at Rosella's birthday party. I decided that whilst Rosella is such a beautiful name the chances of getting badges, mugs or anything with her name on would be limited and probably non-existant unless you make them yourself. Having posted my dream sign on the previous post I started thinking what I could do beyond just a card with her name on. Also one of the greatest things about being a demonstrator is that not only do you get all your stash at a fabulously discounted rate you also earn lots of free stuff and don't always have the time to use it and so I decided to use up some of my retired as well as current supplies on this sweet little girl's birthday and make her a sign to hang in her bedroom.
A sign, I hear you cry! Yes a sign because once opened she will be able to remove the bottom portion and it will turn into a sign with her name on because I used the perforator from our cutting kit to enable this to happen and attached a ribbon through eyelets on the inside of the card as you can see below.
I think it's kind of clever and I'm really hoping she likes it. Report back from Olivia today who has been to panto practice with Rosella. She told Olivia "Your card is fantastic!" Good news!
The rest of the card is fairly simple and I've used the current Brights DSP stack to stamp the balloons and cut them out and attached them to stamped images on the card base allowing the strings to remain in tact. Being a very girly, funky girl, Rosella that is, I've done a 'pink' job with sparkly rhinestones and dazzling diamonds glitter. Rub-ons have been used for the sentiment with the spritzer tool and my own 'smudging' to finish it.
Now whilst I have used chipboard before I've not really covered it with dsp before or glitter so this is my try something new for a challenge on Shelli's blog. I've also used my new crimper again and I got it straight this time remembering a tip from the lovely Pam Morgan at Convention; start to run the cardstock through a little then reverse slightly before you send the whole piece back through the crimper.
Have a great weekend and imagine that your only trouble this weekend is to browse the sale-a-bration brochure and decide which set you want to earn next!

Hi Folks hope all is well out there in blogland. It's only Monday and I'm exhausted already following a v. busy weekend and today my Stampin' Up! year started for real with a wonderful workshop at Sue's with lots of fun ladies and we had a giggle.
The weekend was busy as usual ferrying children to their social engagements. We did manage to have a meal out Saturday night with Charlie as Olivia was at a sleep over with 9 friends at her friend Tia's house. Brave Tia's mum is what I say. Olivia took handmade card and gift for Tia and I made a gift box similar to this and filled it with Lindt chocolates for Tia's mum.
Above is the card I made for Tia which combines the fun stamp set Party This Way which I received as a free gift at convention back in November and the gorgeous greenhouse gala designer series papers. There's a few rhinestones thrown in which 12year olds love and some lovely gathered ribbon in red satin. I used my crimper to add a little subtle texture in the daffodil delight cardstock beneath the ribbon. Wow and what a colour combo this is. Today at the workshop daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and in-colour pear pizzass went down a storm and everyone agreed what a fab combo for the coming spring and to brighten these gloomy days.
Remember if you indulge in these fab colours you can earn a free stamp set with every multiple of £45 you spend on product during Jan and Feb. My diary is busy with workshops, but I still have a couple of dates if you'd like to benefit further by hosting a party and earning more free sets. Just email at martin.tant@homecall.co.uk to find out more.
I'll be back soon with a picture of the Stampin Up journal that I decorated for part of Tia's gift.

Back from Stampin' Up! 2010 Convention
Hi everyone. Well I'm back from another franetic convention where it was buzzing with excitement and I'm over the moon to say that I came 11th in the Demonstrator of the Year Awards. In sales I came in 7th place. Both positions are largely due to my wonderful customers and team for their support of my growing business.
I'll be back soon with more pics and details of the weekend but just wanted to share this super cute card with you which I have almost completely copied from one demo'd at convention by Charlotte from the business team in Frankfurt.
I've altered it slightly but couldn't resist having a go as it's my nephew's birthday tomorrow.
The design incorporates oval and circle punches and the cheeky Make a Monster stamp set from our new Idea Book. I've also used rhinestones to add some cosmic energy to his space ship and doesn't it look great. Inside you can see the monster with his birthday balloon from another new set Party this Way.
Back very soon but I really need to iron, ugh!!!
