Stampin' Up! Level 3 Hostess Set - Playful Pieces

At last amongst the madness of daily life during the school hols I have found a few minutes to have a go at the Less is More challenge which is a colour challenge asking you to make a clean and simple card using the colours from your national flag. I've gone for the Union flag with it's vibrant red white and blue and I've made it a Chrimbo card for friends in the USA who say 'Happy holidays' and also of course have a red white and blue flag.

My shades of each colour are obviously whisper white, real red and night of navy.  I've added a single rhinestone as a ray of light from my tree which comes from some of the lovely stamps in the Playful Pieces level 3 hostess set.

Onwards now ready for a tribe of teeny, meany boys coming to play tomorrow and stay for a camp out! Wish me luck as I think I'll need it!

Enjoy your evening.

Flower handbags - You can never have too many!!!!!!!!!!!!!

stampin up demonstrator uk zoe tant

Hi all it seems that I joined the Less is More first challenge right at the end of the week, so this week I'm in at the beginning hence two in as many days.  Their challenge of Clean and Simple this week is a single layer of cardstock with the use of flowers or trees.  I've very cheekily used flowers to make handbags and as the card says 'it's a girl thing'.  I've used our gorgeous new in colours from left to right concord crush, pear pizzazz and peach parfait.  They wish you away to a beautiful day in Italy, lounging outside a cafe eating a gigantic icecream!  Well as I've already said 'it's a girl thing!'  The stamp set is the level three hostess gift Playful Pieces and you only have to go to that cafe and imagine what wonderful pictures you can create using this set. Children love it because it's full of marvellous shapes and as we know they don't struggle for imagination.  My Charlie is a great one for imagination.  When his sister asked him recently which surname he would choose if he had the choice he quickly replied "Claus because then I would be related to Santa and Rudolf!"  I leave you with that thought, but worry not I shall not be stamping "C word" cards anytime soon!!!!!!!
Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing all the ladies coming to our papercraft day in Alford tomorrow.
