Stampin' Up! Colourful Seasons for Christmas Craft
The lovely Carol has set our Christmas Card Club challenge this fortnight for a card that uses non traditional colours. I've been paying with ink, water and salt on glossy card stock to create a funky background and although I've used green it isn't a traditional Christmas shade. I absolutely love the Lemon Lime Twist from Stampin' Up! that came in in June this year. It's so much fun to use and coordinates with so many others colours. I shared my Craft Stamper first card last week using this colour with Berry Burst and Fresh Fig also new colours from Stampin' Up!.
Today I've teamed the Lemon Lime Twist with Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, white, black and hints of silver. The snowflakes are die cut using the Seasonal Layers thin lits dies and I've used re-inkers to drop ink onto a water and salt mix painted over the glossy card stock.
My sentiment is from an old retired set that fits just nicely onto the classic label punched shape. A little ombre ribbon and some silver washi tape taken from the Cheers to the Years set and you're almost there. A finishing touch of bling with traditional rhinestones and also new black rhinestones as let's face it we all know that snowflakes sparkle!
Remember to visit Carol and the other ladies via the Christmas CC button above to see which colours they've used.
Best wishes for a great week ahead
