Christmas Card Club - Christmas Carols

It always seems a little odd when the sun is shining outside and I can hear the baby birds squealing for their parents to bring more food, that I am then making Christmas cards, but come December 5th ish I'm pleased as I did as realise I need to get them posted.  The consequence is I'm here sharing my latest card for the Christmas Card Club with Christine's challenge.  She set us the task of taking our inspiration from a Christmas carol and mine is 'Joy to the World'.

Using my Stampin' Up! large letter dies I've cut the word joy in gold foil card and then very gently added some pine fronds from the foliage perfect Stampin' Up! set Peace This Christmas which will appear in the new Stampin' Up! 2017 - 2018 catalogue.  It also has the very delicate star stamp and I've also used some pearls and new gold faceted gems that you are going to adore for adding some sparkle to your projects.

Please do visit the other ladies in our challenge group to see their cards and if you think you'd like to join our merry band please do let one of us know.

Happy Sunday

Christmas Card Club - Snowy Mountains

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper

Thanks to the fabulous free SAB Carried Away DSP I have managed to join in Kate's Christmas Card Club Challenge this fortnight.  I panicked a bit when I saw the theme of Snowy Mountains wondering what on earth I could do, but then this gorgeous paper fell into my lap with an order from Stampin' Up!.  It's free with a £45 spend and is perfect for an easy, simple Snowy Mountain Christmas card.

I have cut a part of one sheet of the DSP and coloured odd parts to add some colour.  I've added Santa by embossing him, his sleigh and reindeer in copper and a sentiment heat embossed on vellum and attached with our hand held stapler.  A little pom pom trim giving a snowball effect.

The mountains look great with hot air balloons from Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away thinlits too!

Thank you for my Easter Eggs - Hopeful !

Whilst we're not always timely, I've always encouraged my children to send thank you cards when they receive gifts or treats and tomorrow I have no doubt they will have eggs to thank folk for.   I too have lovely folk within my team to thank and my wonderful loyal customers who are fans of Stampin' Up! and my classes and online Stampin' Up! shop.

This card came about with a left over piece of card that I'd used the excess ink on a stencil to smudge it through the holes onto a piece of whisper white card stock.  I then used a marker pen through the stencil to 'scribble' extra detail onto each smudged circle.

The layout is from the sketch at Mojo Monday this week and I've added an extra stripe because as you know faithful reader I love my sparkle so I've added a strip of the sale-a-bration glitter washi across the middle.  The base card is blackberry bliss which although not easy to see, is embossed with the large polka dot embossing folder. You could say I've gone dotty!

A fab sentiment from Suite Sayings a set all demonstrators at the annual conference back in November received free.  This particular sentiment also co-ordinates with the Botanical Blooms set and Botanicals for You the free Saleabration gift still available with just a £45 spend until the end of this month or free when you join my team this month.

I hope you have a happy Easter weekend and hope the weather is more favourable in the UK than forecasts predict.

Thanks for stopping by.
