Life is never dull!!

Life is never dull when you live with a 7 year old boy.  Charlie's interpretations on life and his story telling began when he was very small.  At nursery he told a crowd gathered around the toy castle "My granny used to live in a castle until she fell off the wall and a dragon ate her".  They continued with opening lines of "When my Granny was a muskateer............."   They have continued until yesterday when Charlie and I were returning from delivering Olivia and her friend to the Local Guide celebration for 100 years of guiding when he remarked that it wasn't fair that she got to see fireworks and go to cool events like pamper parties at half term.  I said he does lots of cool things, but if he wanted I could paint his nails or do a mini pamper session for him and I.  " No way Mum" he said.  Foolishly I asked why not!  His reply was "They put chunks of cucumber on your eyes and paint your face green and give you a massage!!!!" Horrified doesn't come close to the expression on his face.

Meanwhile last Friday I spent the day making a costume for Olivia to wear to her Halloween Party at school.  Following our visit to Disneyworld earlier this year and the Haunted House she fell upon the idea of being a scary bride!  It's amazing what you can do with an old sheet and a basic grey inkpad!!!!!  Spot the lantern that I cased from my good friend Emma.  It flickers although you obviously can't see that here.

Now my project at the top is a scrummy little gift box that I taught one of my techniques clubs this week.  It's a very simple box and lid, but looks more exciting with a window!  It's quite fortuitousbecause it falls in with the Sweet Stampin' Challenge this week also and so does Olivia's costume and lantern.  Take a look there are some fabulous projects there. The robin adds some festive cheer if a little early, but you can never be too prepared for the 'C' word time of year!
Now I have a special offer for you.

Great idea to add the window to the box and that little robin is so cute.

Looking forward to meeting you IRL at convention next week.
