Fr'o'nk visits Schonbrunn

Fr'o'nk's trip continued in style with a visit to the Schonbrunn Palace.

Schonbrunn is a beautiful palace situated on the outskirts of Vienna.   It was a summer palace named by Emperor Matthias who discovered a Schonnen Brunnen, beautiful fountain,  while hunting in what are now the grounds around the palace.  He later named the palace after this when it was built.  The fountain supplied the palace with water until the end of the 18th Century.
Within it's grounds there is a zoo, butterfly house, palm house and the beautiful gloriette you see in the picture above.

The whole Palace is very impossing and absolutely huge. This is the front of the main building but other buildings surround the courtyard to the front of it as well as the Gloriette on the hill behind atop the beautiful  gardens.

Here you see Fr'o'nk with Amanda.  He loved that her pretty top matched his red bow tie!

As we toured the Palace and grounds others enjoyed the views

Even George Clueknee was there!     ----->

The gardens were just as beautiful.......

With interesting statues.  Odd that this one had been renovated in such a strange fashion.

We all and Fr'o'nk had such a lovely time.
