Stampin Up Happy Hour Perfect Blend and That's the Ticket |
It's time for another Christmas Card Club Challenge and we've been set the task of using black and white with one other colour. I chose silver and have also gone off the traditional route using my Perfect Blend stamp set for a different theme. My hint of Christmas is a bit of holly from the Happy Hour Stamp Set. You can turn the coffee cup or I'd like to think mulled wine cup! into any shade using paper piecing to alter the insulating band. Just stamp your image twice on the desired paper or card stock and carefully cut out the right pieces to piece your picture together. Sometimes you may find it better to cut inside the stamped outline and sometimes as with this one it's nice to include all the detail of the stamp. You'll probably need to click on my pic to enlarge it to see that detail mind.
A simple sentiment stamped in black Staz-on ink onto silver foil card stock along with some bunting made using the banner punch you may have seen during our Sale-a-bration promotion. Worry not if you missed it as it's coming back in our new annual catalogue in July. If you cut your paper to the same width as the punch you can slip it into just part of the punch so that you can punch the banner but then choose how long you want each banner to be and hence you'll see my two lengths.
Remember there are lots of ladies in our club and you can visit them for more Christmas inspiration. Why not start with visiting Karen our challenger!
As an afterthought I added some doodles with a Stampin' Up! UK chalk marker for a slightly different look!
Until next time be happy!

Totally different take and I love it. Couldn't work out what you meant with the punch so just got it out and tried it. Der. Now I do!! Hugs ValeryAnne. (aka Mrs A. )
Hi glad it worked out for you! It works well don't you think and you can do the same with other punches.

Thanks Asha. A bit of the wall different but I think it does just about work!
Well this so different and so great. Love Maureen's idea of using it as a coffee gift card. Good for you thinking so totally out of the box! Hugs Christine xx
Great Idea Maureen and thanks for your kind words.
Thanks Christine.
I love this - it is so different and delightful - just right for Karen's CCC challenge - and thanks for entering this for both of my CHNC challenges - hope to see you there again soon.x
A very sophisticated take on the challenge & what a great card. You had all the elements of Black & White, with the touch of pink, and used a non-Christmas motif & turned it into that very thing with your use of the holly! Wonderful thinking -out-of-the-box. Love it! TFS & Hugs
