Back to School card challenge

We are sharing Back to School cards for the new MAWTT challenge.  You can join us with your card over at Moving Along with the Times challenge blog.

I've used simple shapes perfect for a new adventure and a water coloured pot of paint brushes from the Stampin' Up! Crafting Forever stamp set.  It also has a sentiment that say 'Crafting forever, housework whenever!' which is just right for mums who've taken their kids back to school on the first day of the new school year whenever it may be.

I stamped the pot with black Staz On ink and then used my aqua painter to pick up ink from the inside of my ink pad lids to carefully water colour the pot and brushes. I did the same with the scissors and then once dry I fussy cut them out.  As they are relatively small images I was able to just use very vanilla cardstock as it didn't get too wet with the limited areas requiring colour.

My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings and that is white heat embossed on black card and punched out with the classic label punch. Some retired enamel shapes add to the theme of new school and new shape names.

Check out the challenge and I hope you'll join in with us with this simple fun theme.

Happy crafting Zoe x
