Christmas Card Club - Forest Scenes

It's getting ever closer to the festive season so you might be looking for quick and easy Christmas cards to make. This one is simple and you could use any festive papers and stamps.  I stamped my greeting from the lovely Stampin' Up! host set in the winter mini catalogue in Night of Navy ink first so that I could then work down the design for easy positioning.

The tree stamp is from Most Wonderful Time stamp set which is part of the Stampin' Up! product medley also called Most Wonderful Time.  I stamped in Shaded Spruce and used second and third generation ink to create my forest scene requested by Kate for our Christmas Card Club theme.  She lives up in bonnie Scotland so I thought she would appreciate the tartan papers and this scene of pine trees.

I was given a super swap at our Stampin' Up! conference recently from Jackie Noble, a demo from New Zealand, where she used two ribbons for decoration and so I used her idea and like how it allows you to bring out both the green of the trees and some golden sparkle, it's also easier to tie this way.
Kate also requested glitter and sparkle so I added some glitter, although difficult to photograph on this dull day, to the trees giving a snowy/frosty appearance.  You can see another example using this set here.

My second card is one that I cased from a US demo again with second generation ink stamping to create depth.  This time I used the Stampin' Up! Into the Woods set which is one of my favourites.  You can see another card with this set on this stampingscene post.

Again there is glitter on the trees and also along the bottom to give the snowy base area a glittery appeal.

I hope you've had a good Sunday and perhaps on this dull day you've crafted too.  We did manage a walk in half light this evening, but Little Miss Norty wasn't keen on the mud and puddles and jumped her way through.

Here's to a good week ahead.

Happy crafting Zoe x
