Birthdays aren't quite we are used to at the moment and I'm sure like us you've had a birthday in the family and had to make do with what you can to celebrate. For Charlie it was set to be a special day as he was due to have his first driving lesson, but that will have to wait. However Liv made him a very scrummy chocolate cake which was eyed by all as you can see!
Like many his post has arrived throughout the week and he had handmade cards like this one from us which I made with embossing, designer papers and the stamp set Waterfront for the palm trees. The car is fussy cut from the Tropical Oasis papers and I used markers to recolour a couple of sections. I added a very mini L plate to the front bumper too.
Pretty Peacock for a colour is gorgeous but sounds more girly than teenage boy but it was just right for borders and my stamped and fussy cut numbers. I used an old Stampin' Up! set for this and my embossing folder was the 3D Layered Leaves folder.
I'm a little OCD at times and tend to put things very squarely on a projects, but this one is offset and makes it easier to use your off cut pieces of card to add detail with embossing and layers.
I'm pleased to report that Charlie thought it was 'cool'!
What have you been doing this past week to keep yourself occupied? Do share in the comments .
Take care and keep safe.

Love the layout of this card. Perfect for a teen, a tricky age group to make cards for in my opinion.
Brilliant card for a young guy, beautifully designed and coloured, Kate x x
