Christmas Card Club - Gifts and Gift Bags

Happy Sunday I hope your weather isn't as overcast as it is here at the moment.  However the dogs are walked and chilling for now and the log burner is making things cosy.  Time for tea and biscuits and to share my make for Christmas Card Club.  Lorraine set a theme of Gifts and Gift Bags this week and so I've made a gift bag full of gift tags!

I confess I CASE'd (copy and share everything) the very simple bag design from a recent Stampin' Up! facebook post.  It's a fun make that you could fill with tags, cards, a chocolate bar or a cookie. With Valentine's looming it would be great to share some love with colleagues, neighbours or friends at school. What better than to make someone smile with a prettily wrapped cookie!

For the bag you need a piece of DSP (designer series paper) that is 6" x 9".

Score on the long side at 23/8" and 63/4"  and then on the short side at 1/2" .

You'll then see that you need to add adhesive in a narrow band along the inside of the widest back panel to adhere it to the other side of the panel.

Add tear and tape to the inside of the bottom strip once you have cut off the excess at the bottom of the two back panels.  I've also used a border die to shape the top of the pouch and the one I used from the Basic Borders also adds a stitched edge.

You can then decorate your bag/pounch.

This is perfect for putting odd sheets of paper to good use and those odd offcuts of card to make the tags if you do what I have.

Use dies to cut layers for your decor and ribbon and gems to add some sparkle.

I also punched a small hole at the top right to add a tag to give it to someone.

Keep warm, well and keep stamping and don't forget to have a look at the shares from the others in our friendly club.

Hugs Zoe x
