I've tried a bit of #simplestamping today and also used blending brushes to add some spotlight colour. I'm also entering my card in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge where the sketch is below. You too can join in with their challenge through until Monday afternoon.
In my previous post I shared the masking technique and for this card I used the same masking paper to create a hexagon of stamped masked images. I started by stamping one of the flowers from the Stampin' Up! Cottage Rose stamp set onto the masking paper and then carefully cut it out. I peeled off the backing paper and then used it to mask the first flower I stamped onto the die cut hexagon. I was then able to add other flowers and leaves moving the mask to the appropriate position.
Once the black ink was dry I used blending brushes with Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Calypso Coral and Highland Heather to add a colourful background.
On other slightly smaller hexagons I did the same masking technique and added a matt layer of white hexagons the same size as my colourful one. I followed the sketch for the design and also added some sparkly gems.
The card is dedicated to my daughter, Olivia who is very busy as part of the team who have organised a huge Scout and Guide International Jamboree. It will indeed be Fab as they have all worked so hard.
Thanks for stopping by.
Keep safe and keep stamping
