Frosty the Snowman in triplicate.

Stampin up snowman from snow wonder stamp set

Happy Sunday all.  I hope you've had a good week.  Here it's half term and nice to have less rush for the school run etc.  I've enjoyed having the chance to craft some fun snowmen cards chosen as our theme for Christmas Card Club by Margaret.  I've used the same snowman in similar but different ways and I'd love to know which one you like the best.

Above I stamped with black ink grey card and then used watercolour pencils to colour the image.  Added some embellishments and an embossed matt layer using the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder which is fab for Christmas cards as it's got that sort of sparkle design lights make when they hit your tree ornaments if that makes sense.

For the second and third card I've used the same layout but added some slightly different touches.  On the one above it's just simple stamping in Grey Granite ink on the same colour card with just a simple sentiment in black on white from the same stamp set.  You can see I used a different embossing folder here too called Old World Paper which is great for masculine cards.

Below I've changed it a little by adding a heat embossed sentiment which I fussy cut and also used white pigment ink to stamp the additional snowflakes and a chalk marker to colour the snowman with criss cross to create a little texture.  I had a white gel pen too to add more snow along his twiggy arms and on the ground.  I also changed the ribbon and used double sided tape so that I could pleat the ribbon rather than a bow or knot.

If you're on half term this week I hope you've managed to have fun despite whatever restrictions may be in place and if it's life as normal, well as normal as is at the mo, I hope you have a fun week.  Keep safe all and take a moment or two to check out everyone else's Snowmen cards - you're in for a treat.

Stunning Snowflakes for sentiment bold Christmas

So Many Snowflakes Christmas card by Zoe Tant Stampin Up UK demo
Wow I love snowflakes but these are stunning.  Stampin' Up! have done an amazing job designing these beautiful dies this year.  I've used them to add sparkle to my Christmas card club card. It's Rita's   turn and she wanted Christmas Sentiments, and these gorgeous papers (Feels Like Frost) and the snowflakes set off my simple sentiment.  I cut 3/4" strips of the papers and top and tailed them with the Lovely Labels punch.  I then adhere them to a white matt layer before adding to my card base with stampin' dimensional.  My sentiment is stamped with Blackberry Bliss, not your usual Christmas colour, but it works don't you think?

I stamped on Purple Posy card and added Purple Posy snowflakes that I die cut with double sided adhesive sheet on.  I made sure the sticky side was uppermost as I added some fine glitter to it to allow the card colour to come through, but also sparkle.  You could put the double sided adhesive on both sides of course but I only thought of that as I type, so mine are just added with wet glue.  It's a simple card but packs the WOW and is so so pretty with the beautiful papers that are printed photographs on one side with silver embossed designs on the other.  They are 6" x 6" with 4 of each design in the pack so you have two to stroke and two to use.

As ever you can see some more designs on this theme by visiting the Christmas Card Club ladies blogs from the top link CC Club.

Keep safe all and keep crafting.

Snow Wonder Winter Scene

I'm on a bit of a roll with Christmas cards at the moment with an extension of Christmas in July.  Today I've created for the Christmas Card Club Challenge,  'a winter scene' set by Valery.  I've made a very simple card using the trees from Stampin'  Up! Winter Mini called Snow Wonder.  It's a #simplestamping card.

I created a mask by stamping on a post it note and then fussy cut it out, cutting just inside the outside edge of the image.  I stamped one pair of trees and then used the mask to conceal one of them before stamping another over the top.  I stamped the pair again in the foreground using the mask to just cover the smaller tree.  With a black marker pen I extended the land lines to create some depth.

From the same stamp set I've added a gold heat embossed sentiment before matting my design onto a piece of brushed metallic foil card.  The finishing touch was a couple of gold metallic pearls.

I'll be doing more with this set in the future so don't forget to check in again.  Please also visit the other ladies lovely winter scene inspiration via the CC Club link at the top of this page.

Happy Sunday all. Keep safe and happy crafting.
