Gifts, Ribbons and Bows

I'm excited to share my Christmas Card Club card with you today as for once as my choice I picked something some months ago as a theme and didn't then think "OMG why did I choose this!!!" .  I chose this theme knowing that we would have a new winter mini catalogue with lots of gorgeous seasonal stamps and trimmings, but never did I think it would work so well as this; a stamp set with literally ribbons and bows and I've added the gifts.

I used the 'Tis the Season papers and the Swirly Frames stamp set to add box edges in gold embossing before trimming my gift box shapes.  I've then added embossed, stamped or coloured bows to them all and a sentiment tag to the largest.  I created an embossed matt layer and chose the de-bossed side to add the paper parcels onto it as it was smoother to stick the papers onto but I think looked better behind the parcels.

Regular visitors know I'm a bling lover and so a few red rhinestones just finished off my middle parcel.  Wouldn't it be lovely to receive Christmas gifts like this all coordinating and bowed!!

If you are looking for other gift wrap ideas why not look at my previous post showing a 3D gift box idea.

Happy Sunday and I hope you have a great week.  I'm into Christmas mode now so making cards in my Christmas card buffet which you can join by post. Please email me for more information at zoetant@live.co.uk

Thanks for stopping by.  Keep safe and KEEP STAMPING!

Stampin' Up! Night in Bethlehem Stamp Set

It's been while since I've participated in the Christmas Card Challenge as life has been busy with the build up to Thailand and this week exam results for Olivia. I'm delighted to share though that she got her first choice place to study Business and will be leaving the nest very soon.  We are so proud of her.

Our challenge today is set by Christine and she wanted us to remember the true meaning of Christmas which has fallen perfectly with my recent order of the new stamp set Night in Bethlehem and the Bethlehem edgelits . These will both be available to purchase in my Stampin Up online shop from 1 September.  Aren't they fabulous and will be useful for years to come.  I've teamed them up with some new papers called Merry Music Specialty and you can just see that the sheet I've used has a carol printed on it with the line "Born a king on Bethlehem's plain...."  I've used sponges and ink to add colour to a soft sky bendy card similar to one in shape to one I made years ago for Shelli's old creative challenges which I won.  You can just see too that I used the brick wall mask behind the first layer of buildings to add a little more interest.  I've also heat embossed in clear some stars onto the carol sheet prior to sponging on colour.  Mary and Joseph are stamped and die cut black on white.

Do take a look around the other ladies blogs for lots more 'Reason for the Season' inspiration.

Happy Sunday.

Stampin' Up! Male Birthday Card

Sometimes the simplest addition of some patterned paper can just add a spot of detail to a card. Here I've used a piece from surprisingly the Floral Boutique DSP pack, but it is on this occasion for a male birthday card with no girly flowers in sight. I love the bubbles from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set especially as it was a free set that I won at the last Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Onstage event at Telford. We're there again in November and I can't wait. We'll get to see the new spring catalogue and to play with new products.  It's so exciting to get this early sight and use of new things. You can too if you'd like to be a demonstrator in my team. Click  for more details on how to join Stampin' Up!

I'm also busy this week preparing my display for the Sincerely Yours Craft Show at Newark Showground this Sunday.  Do come and say hello if you come to the show and see some of our fabulous Christmas craft products.  You won't be disappointed.

See you soon Zx
