Creative Elements from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! Everyday Enchantment Papers make great patchwork

Hi all this is just a quick post to show you a great way to use up scraps of papers, but make a really lovely card.  Just punch out squares with 13/8" punch and stick them onto a piece of card like a patchwork quilt.  Then run your card through the big shot with Stampin' Up! top note die, add a few faux stitches with a marvellous marker and you're away with a lovely starting point for a card.
I'm really loving Stampin Up Creative Elements stamp set too at the minute and have used one of the stamps from it to make a tone on tone background on my base card and also my decorative label punch sentiment.
If you'd like to learn how you can take this technique even further consider joining my next technique club starting in September.
All you need to do is spend a minimum of £25 or £15 a month for 6 or 10 months and you receive free annual catalogues and seasonal catalogues, a minimum £25 free hostess spend and a class on a different technique every month.  If you'd like to know more about it then please do contact me on zoetant@live.co.uk

Now off to chill for 10minutes before Charlie's friends arrive for a day of boy mayhem. Olivia is already hiding in her room!!!

Enjoy the opening of our Olympics tonight!

Stampin' Up! Mixed Blossoms meets Everyday Enchantment

Doesn't the sun make us all feel brighter and happier and doesn't it make news that your children have both passed their recent music exams even better!!! Doesn't the sun make it seem worthwhile that that top you ordered in the sale but for some reason was on back order has now arrived and is perfect for the sunshine.  Doesn't the sun make school hols much easier when the children can play outside with something simple like water which we now have lots of and doesn't the sun just make you smile!

It's so much nicer to get outside and at last I've fitted in a bit of tennis, gardening and colouring of the old leggies. They're a bit scary at the best of time but with a bit of colour not quite so...

I've also now got time to upload some pictures of cards made for display at the Summer Crafting Show.  We featured the lovely Everyday Enchantment Papers and of course the free ribbons and brads that are available during July.  If you haven't got yours yet then there's just time to place an order and receive yours.
Here pool party cardstock is teamed with the papers and a poppy parade flower made using the Blossom Punch and the Mixed Blossoms Stamp set.  The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays hostess set.

Enjoy the sunshine when it comes and it will make the grey days less offensive.

Labels Framelits and Everyday Enchantment Suite from Stampin' Up!
I love that soft suede cardstock, goes so well with these papers. It's a fab colour that seems to team up with all the Stampin' Up! colours and tone on tone stamping with the Bordering on Romance stamp set is really effective and one other accessory that I love is the pleated ribbon. It's so soft and luxurious and only needs a small piece to make your projects have a luxury feel. It comes in 4 colours of pear pizzazz, riding hood red, blushing bride and seen here baja breeze. Just gotta love it.............

Hope you're day is a good one.

Stampin' Up! Paper Daisies

The sunshine has sporadically visited parts of Lincolnshire this past week and reminded me that we do have to Keep Calm and Get on with it!  I've brought the garden inside by making a card using Stampin' Up! paper daisies, which if you blink you can miss in our catalogue.  On arrival they are daisies made from cotton paper, in 4 sizes (10 of each) plain whisper white that can be adhered with tombow or glue dots.  However colour them with Stampin' Up! marker pens or dye them with water and some drops of reninker and they take on a whole new look.
Stampin' Up! Paper Daisies, Curly Cute and Creative Elements
Dyed with calypso coral, spritzed with calypso coral marker pen and set upon a Creative Elements swirl embossed using versamark, heat gun and wild wasabi embossing powder, they are really pretty and most definitely bring your garden into your home!   They will also submit to and survive being slid into an envelope only to revive on receipt by your recipient.

Everyday Enchantment Promotion from Stampin' Up!
They also look great if you just stamp on them and team them with a free accessory.
Remember that during July every £45 order (excl. P&P) receives a free set of 30 designer brads and two rolls or delicate organza ribbon.  See more details about this Stampin' Up! promotion.
This card has been partially embossed with the stripes Stampin' Up! exclusive embossing folder and stamped with the Artistic Etchings stamp set and Curly Cute for the sentiment.

I hope the sun finds you too and brightens your day.  May it also shine on Andy Murray for his big match this afternoon.
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy 21st Birthday Sammy

In between all the excitement of Vienna I want to share with you a card I've made for my lovely friend Sammy who is celebrating her 21st today.  It seems such a long time has passed since I was 21, but I remember it being a very special celebration and so I wish Sammy a special day of celebration.

The Mixed Bunch stamp set is just like many other Stampin' Up! sets in that it doesn't just have to be flowers!  You can use this particular stamp to turn it into a butterfly, or even a snowflake similar to my clean and simple Christmas card made for Christmas Card Club.

You might also note some interesting accessories on this card and I suggest you keep checking back to find out more about them and the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment papers used.

Although you probably can't tell the main butterfly has been embossed and to achieve this I first inked my stamp with peach parfait ink and then gently tapped the stamp onto a versamark pad to ink it with embossing ink  This way you can achieve colours that you may not have in embossing powders.  The effect isn't quite as strong as that achieved with versamark and coloured embossing powders, but it's good enough to grow your coloured embossing range.

I'll be back with more Vienna adventures soon.

Stampin Up Elizabeth

Click on the image for a larger view
Looking at challenges in blogland you can get lots of inspiration for projects.  This one is inspired by this week's Mojo Monday challenge and also by the lovely ladies at St Luke's Hospice Challenge.  The Hospice challenge this month is for cards following the idea of Love and Lace.
The sale-a-bration designer series paper has a very vintage feel and so compliments the lace ribbon and beautiful Elizabeth stamp really well. Elizabeth is one of Stampin' Up! 's a la carte stamps which means it is a single stand alone stamp that can be purchased along with an ink pad and pack of mixed cardstock and that's how easy it is to start stamping.  You CAN  make your own cards and bring out your creativity!! It's in all of us just hidden a little bit deeper in some folk!!
Once you've found your creativity pop over to the St Luke's Hospice Charity Challenge, look at the cards for inspiration and maybe you can enter a simple card and win yourself a prize.  It doesn't have to be super fancy, it can be something simple.  I've also entered this into the Sweet Stampin Challenge where you have to choose a trio of accessories. I've used lace, brads and flowers.

More soon
Happy Stampin'
