How to make a grid card with a medley of Stampin' Up! stamps

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I used a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper called Feels Like Frost from the upcoming Stampin' Up! winter catalogue. It's a stack of papers of the same size which feature on one side stunning prints of frosted scene photographs and on the other white with hand drawn silver designs.

I took just one sheet, after all it does plenty, and stamped 2nd and 3rd generation ink over it using the Birch background stamp and also stamps from the beautiful Very Versailles stamp set in shades similar to those in the paper.  I then cut 9 11/4" squares and white and copper embossed different images on to the squares.  You could also do this prior to cutting the squares.

I stuck the squares onto a piece of thick whisper white card that was 43/4 inches square.  I've done the sticking by eye and so it's not quite perfect, but if you are a neat freak then you could measure and get it spot on.  I  added another whisper white layer that was 5" square adhering my art piece on with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The whole piece was then stuck to  base card that is A5 in folded size.  I added a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings which is heat embossed in copper.

The final touch was to add a handful of self adhesive sequins.

There is lots of inspiration on Pinterest for this type of card and it packs a wow without too much effort or skill required.  Have a go and see what you can make.  There are endless possibilities as you can reduce the number of squares, change the sizes whatever you choose really.

All the products I used are Stampin' Up! of course and can be bought in my online shop.  The papers will be available to order from 4th September when the Stampin' Up! Winter catalogue goes live.

Stamps used included
Birch (149256)
Sequins (146933)
Feels Like Frost Papers (150444)

Happy crafting

Rooted in Nature coming soon to Stampin' Up!

I adore this fabulous new bundle from Stampin' Up!. It's called Rooted in Nature and includes a set of stamps and a set of dies.  It's perfect for male cards, but will lend itself to memory keeping, Christmas cards and lots, lots more.  I've made this card using the dies and stamps and you can also see that the leaves which I die cut for the background are also embossed with leaf veins as the dies include 3 pieces that don't cut but emboss your card or you can emboss the die cuts that they coordinate with.

We have some new pearlised doilies too which you can see immediately on this card as I've fussy cut off the scalloped rim and used the reverse of the doily and sponge brayered it with Cajun Craze ink.

I created the back ground as I've mentioned by die cutting and embossing leaf shapes in two sizes which I then stuck with tombow to a piece of very vanilla card.  It's tone on tone but sufficient to give a texture background. I cut the piece to the required size and matted it onto a piece of Soft Suede card.  I've then built up my focal point using burlap ribbon, copper foil die cut and embossed leaves and stamped leaves on a stitched frame lit circle.  The sentiment is part of the Rooted in Nature set which i've cut into strips and used the parts I wanted having stamped the images in different colours. I can keep the pieces I didn't use for another card.  I've also added a wooden element which is retiring soon so maybe think about stocking up now before they disappear at the end of the month.

This is such an awesome set of stamps and dies that are fab for multimedia creations with so much texture already in the bundle.

You can see it in the new catalogue from 1 June and if you've shopped with me in the past 6 months you'll receive a complimentary copy of the 2018 - 2019 Stampin' Up! annual catalogue. If you haven't  shopped, but would like a copy of the catalogue please contact me at zoetant@live.co.uk

Thanks for checking in today. I hope you'll love this set as much as me. Be assured I'll be sharing more projects using it soon.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Delight

Wow this is proving to be a popular stamp set.  Daisy Delight has taken the world by storm and in particular its matching punch.

I've used it here with the new Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide colours teamed up with Sahara Sand.  It creates really impacting cards in such a simple way.  I've used one of the smaller flowers to decorate the edges of the matting layers using tone on tone ink colours and then stamped a simple flower with a sentiment from the set Blooms & Wishes which is another favourite of many.

To get the different shades on the flower's centre just stamp off on a piece of scrap paper to reduce the ink on the stamp before you stamp it on your flower.  Then use the full ink when you stamp using the second detail stamp. As I said simple but effective.

Please note that the stamp set is available to order on its own, but the bundle including the stamps and punch are not available at the moment due to the popularity of the punch.  It will come back once stocks are replenished, but if you like a discount by buying the bundle add it to a lower point on your wish list for now and come back to it.  I'll be sure to share when it is available again.

More soon Zx

Bella and Friends - How cute

As a big fan of dogs I couldn't resist this cutie. I adore this sweet little dog named Bella and her friends in the Stampin' Up! set Bella and Friends.   Such a fun set of stamps and as you can see she looks cute surrounded by pretty flowers as well as more cheeky on kraft card stock.

Our faithful hound is Ben the Border Collie who keeps us on our toes and is never far away from mischief.

I managed to take this picture a couple of days ago holding his attention with his beloved heavily chewed plant pot.

Who's your fur baby please do share a picture.  Zx
