More Wishes to celebrate the season

handmade christmas sentiment card with more wishes stamp set

I recently saw someone stamp Happy several times and add birthday for a fun trendy birthday card and thought I would try similar with a festive, non traditional handmade Christmas card.

I used a stamp positioned to stamp the Christmas alternately with pink and purple along with a sprig of holly from the Sending Cheer stamp set.  I used rhinestones for the berries because I love bling and die cut the Happy from silver foil card.  TOP TIP add double sided adhesive sheet to your piece of foil card before die cutting as it makes it much easier to adhere to your project and removes sticky smudge risk on the foil.

I matted my stamped layer on to some patterned paper (DSP) before adding to my base card, and a simple quick design was made.  My customers have enjoyed making this card at the Christmas Card Buffet sessions also as they love the speed but the wow factor.  It would look great in traditional festive colours too don't you think?

Keep dry all, it's raining all day here and one of those dirty days.  My thoughts are with customers and local folk who have been flooded recently.  We got off lightly so are very grateful.  I hope everyone is able to keep as dry as possible.

Take card and keep crafting it is good for the soul.

Handmade Christmas Card Blog Hop - Sending Cheer

santa hat die from sending cheer bundle stampin up handmade christmas card ideas

Happy Saturday and welcome to my Christmas card post for the Stampin' for Christmas blog hop and also  a day early for Christmas Card Club.  The theme for the hop is simply Christmas and card club this fortnight we are making and sharing makes with the theme of humour or anything goes.  I think mine is loosely humorous, but definitely anything goes.

I am a member of the 2023 Sales and Promotion Demonstrator Council and was lucky to be sent the Sending Cheer bundle to create samples to share in our global demonstrator group.  Our new winter mini went live to demonstrators this week and will be open for orders from the public in September so if you NEED to see it sooner then please do contact me about joining to get early access and the chance to order.

I made this card using the Santa hat die from the bundle which is primarily a tag die so I disguised the ribbon hole with festive pearls and I've also added a beard from the Gnome dies and coloured the nose with Bubble Bath marker.

I've added the sentiment using the So Very Merry and Celebrate with Tags stamp sets. It's an easy but fun card and a quick make which is what we all want for our handmade Christmas cards isn't it!

The design is layered onto black and real red card stock to coordinate with Santa's regular outfit.

Enjoy the hop and don't forget to come back tomorrow to visit the Card Club ladies via the link above for lots of humorous card ideas.

Thanks for popping by and happy crafting

Quick and easy handmade Christmas card ideas

handmade easy Christmas card using printed papers and trucking along bundle

I'm a little late, but the Christmas Card Club are sharing cards with a winter village scene this fortnight.  I had thought I had nothing to share so was heading for the anything goes get out of jail option, but then opened my new pack of One Horse Open Sleigh 6" x 6" printed papers (DSP).  I teamed this sheet with the Trucking Along bundle to create my village scene.

Using papers makes it easy to create a quick card or multiples especially with a pack of papers like this as there are 4 of each design.  When you are making lots of seasonal cards then easy and quick designs make it much more fun and you can vary with each paper design.

The truck is so cute too and you can use the stamp set all year as there are numerous things to put inside it.  I've also added some Wink of Stella to the lights for a little sparkle, but no matter how I tried it didn't want to show in my photograph.

Do take a few minutes to look around the other ladies in our club to see some different ideas for cards using the theme ranging from up cycling to stamping.

Thanks for checking in and do visit again soon.

Happy crafting Zoe x

Handmade Sentiment Focus Christmas Card Club

Big sentiment christmas card with alphabet a la mode dies
Welcome on this very sunny, hot Sunday afternoon.  I love the sunshine, but keeping cool is best at the peak of the day and so what better to fill my time than creating a sentiment focused Christmas card!!!! Lol crazy or what?*?*!

I've used the Alphabet A La Mode alphabet dies for this simple message card.  It takes a little time though as I've cut three of each letter to layer them using double sided adhesive sheets to add depth and make the letters pop even more.

I've used Real Red, Garden Green and Gold foil card and the retired Christmas Banners stamp set to add some #simplestamping holly.

A sprinkle of golden pearls and you have a sentiment focused card.

I'm part of a great group of crafters across the globe who share Christmas card makes every fortnight.  If you'd like to join us then pop one of us a message.  Do go see the others cards to inspire you for your festive makes.

Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the sunshine if you have it or the excitement of snow potentially elsewhere, at least more of a festive scene tee hee.

happy stamping

Christmas Card Club - Tidings and Trimmings Stampin' Up! Bundle

handmade christmas card using stampin up tidings and trimming stamps and dies

Today is the second Christmas Card Club of the year, but only my first so I have two cards in an effort to catch up.  The theme today is Nativity, but I've gone for anything goes which we can do if we are stuck for inspiration.

I've used the Tidings and Trimmings bundle and the Tidings of Christmas papers.  Two simple cards, but the above one is full of texture and little details.  I really like the Hammered Metal embossing folder for adding some background detail and the staggered Label Me Fancy punched labels draw the eye across the design.

For the card below it's a really simple design making use of this lovely stocking stamp again framed on a stitched and scalloped rectangle with an elegant font for the sentiment.

Do look for more inspiration from the other lovely members of our Christmas Card Club and best wishes for the week ahead.

To make the sour cream container I stamped tone on tone onto red card and then added tear and tape to three  connected sides of the card.  Roll the card into a tube and adhere with one side of the tear and tape.  Then peel off the backing on one other side and gently squeeze the sides together.  Do the same to the other end of the tube, but squeeze the sides in the opposite direction to the other end.  Of course one important thing to remember is to add your gift before you seal the second end.

I decorated my container with DSP from the host pack Pattern Play, die cut circles and some stamped and fussy cut holly from the Happy Holly-days stamp set which I coloured with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  The card coordinates and the sentiment is not actually upside down, just photographed in haste.  As a wise old man said to me as a young child ''More haste less speed!"

Cute Snowmen Handmade Christmas

handmade christmas cards using stampin up products

Time for another Christmas Card Club challenge today and my are the weeks flying by.......
We are empty nesters this weekend with Charlie now settled at Uni for over two weeks and Liv is away with friends so we've enjoyed the peace, but missed the chat.  Good to have a taster before it happens full time one day.

Our challenge today is to feature snowmen or a single snowman on our creations and I've used this very old stamp set, but I love it and I've enjoyed just adding a little colour and adding the die cut image to a simple fancy fold card base.
handmade snowman christmas card using retired and current stampin up products.

For the card base I use a piece of thick white card to create a standard tent fold and then folded back the card front half way to create the base. I've then used a narrow approx 3inch embossing folder to decorate the back layer of the card base but it leaves space for writing on without having to worry about the embossing.

Simple addition of some patterned paper (DSP) and a matt layer to the die cut image and a white embossed sentiment.

Such a lovely weekend here weather wise it seems crazy to be sharing snow images.  I hope the warmth and sunshine last a little longer.

Have a great start to the week and thanks for popping by.

Keep safe and keep stamping

Stars are Shining Bundle for October Challenge

christmas card idea using stars shining bundle stampin up

Welcome and Happy Sunday. It's a new month and the MAWTT team are sharing a challenge with lots of options today.  It's a noughts and crosses/tic tac toe/bingo grid and you choose a row or column that suits you to make your card.
I stamped the large star stamp from the Stars Are Shining stamp set , tone on tone to the base card of Night of Navy and then added an EMBOSSED layer of Just Jade using the pine folder from the 3D Wintry pack of two folders.  Onto this I've added a piece of white card with a Mango Melody stamped image from the recently retired SAB set Textures and Frames to create a colour wash for the bauble (IMAGE) which is stamped onto vellum using Memento Tuxedo Black ink with some minimal Night of Navy colouring using an alcohol marker/ stampin' blend.

To adhere the vellum without the adhesive showing I've added a real red die cut label and added a gold bow ie my RIBBON.

It's another example of the less traditional colours of Christmas cards we used recently for my challenge at Christmas Card Club. You can see my challenge card for that on my earlier Stampingscene post.

Don't forget you can join in the challenge at MAWTT any time during the month right up to the end of the month.  Take a look at the DT cards and join in here.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing which bingo line you create.

Keep safe and keep stamping.

Cute Christmas Trees for our Christmas Card Club challenge

Whimsical Christmas Trees card making dies stamps with stampin up demo zoe tant

It's my turn to choose our Christmas Card Club challenge today and the theme is Non-traditional Christmas colours.  I've used white, Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Kraft to create my CAS card for you today.

I die cut an aperture from a piece of white and added the die cut trees using Christmas Tree dies part of the Whimsical Tree bundle in the Stampin' Up! winter catalogue.  I also die cut a frame for the circle aperture and the trees are carefully stuck to the back of the aperture and are adhered to the embossed background layer using stampin dimensionals to give the impression of depth.  I've then matted it all onto a piece of Early Espresso card before adding to a white base card.

I just love these trees with their long trunks and narrow stitched tops.  They look great in any colour, but I liked the neutral look on the white embossed background.  I'm going to do more with other colours as this was a relatively quick card to put together.

I needed it to be easy as we took our son to University for his first term yesterday. I miss him already and can't wait to see how he gets on.  He's in a flat of 6 with 2 lads and 4 girls.  It will be interesting to see how life pans out for him.  I'm so excited for him and the adventures that await him.  Can't believe my baby boy is so grown up!

Have a lovely Sunday all and enjoy checking out more inspiration with my fellow club crafters by visiting them via the CC Club list above.

Christmas Card Club - Poinsettias

handmade christmas card with poinsettia stamps and dies

Happy Sunday and welcome to our Christmas Card Club Challenge.  Rita is our lovely challenger today and she has chosen Poinsettias for our theme.  I just love to have one or two in the house at Christmastime.  The colours are amazing and for me they are a feature of the winter season.

For my handmade card today I've used a stamp set called Poinsettia Petals.  I stamped the petals in Poppy Parade ink and then used a blending brush to add more ink.  You just need to take care that you start off with a light application of ink so that you can build up the depth of colour slowly.

I'm pleased I chose red for my Poinsettias as following Emma Radacanu's amazing tennis match last night where she wore red kit it is clearly the colour for the weekend.  A young lady with a bright future don't you think!

handmade rubber stamped christmas card for card making with zoe tant

I began my card by stamping the floral spray from Words of Cheer in black ink onto a white layer.  I stamped it twice onto a piece of card 9.7cm x 14cm.  I then added the stamped and die cut flower along with vellum 'berry' die cuts which I added random spots of gilded leafing.  I added the same leafing to the centre of the top layer of the Poinsettia.  I used Tombow wet glue which i carefully added with a cocktail stick to add just a small 'smudge' of glue to each dot before adding the leafing.  I left it to dry before gently removing excess gilding to reveal the gold dots.

I love the open weave in colour ribbons so added a bow of Evening Evergreen which I tucked under the Poinsettia with glue dots.  Using the Words of Cheer set I created a sentiment heat embossed in white on black card.  The whole layer is then matted onto a layer of Soft Succulent card and a base card of Evening Evergreen.

Having used a darker colour for the card base I like to add a lighter inside piece of card. Here I've added white and continued the stamping with the Words of Cheer.  By just stamping part of the image it leaves plenty of space to write your goodwill message.

The dry weather continues here in Lincolnshire and so a bit of gardening is on the diary, along with a family Sunday roast as we have a birthday in the house this month so are celebrating.  Hoping you have relaxing plans too.
